Ice Blasting or cleaning with dry ice is superior to traditional sandblasting and manual cleaning methods, which are time consuming, not fully effective and often requires costly cleanup and disposal procedures.
Cryogenic cleaning is extremely effective due to the frigid temperature of the ice pellets, which causes the material(s) being removed to shrink and lose adhesion from their sub-surfaces. The ice pellets are soft enough not to pit, damage, erode or wear away the targeted surfaces that traditional grit media does, therefore the surface integrity and critical tolerances are preserved. The pulverized dry ice evaporates completely as a gas and leaves no wastes. Only the removed materials will need to be captured and disposed of.
Crown ERAM has adapted and implemented this revolutionary method of cleaning to include low and medium voltage distribution systems, pad mounted transformers, switchgear cabinets, MCC and breaker cubicles, motor and generator windings and their respective rotating elements, all of which can be put back into service without waiting to dry-out or having to be wiped free of residue. It is also effective in confined spaces, such as storage bins, silos, tanks, and other hard to reach areas that must be kept clean and dry. Paint, soot, congestive atmosphere build-up, adhesives and most resins are some of the materials easily removed by this procedure.
• Able to remove dirt and metal particle contaminants that cannot be reached by any other method
• Leaves no residue like every other cleaning method
• 100% ecologically safe, USDA rated, biodegradable and harmless to humans, animals and marine life

Advantages of Cryogenic Cleaning
Dry ice pellets impact the
contaminant and expands 800 times
to assist in the removal process. No residue – dry ice turns from
solid to gas leaving no media
contamination.
Our team is
Ready to help!
Crown ERAM’s experienced engineering team detects any issues and will develop a new design parts to advance current capacity of the system.
With proper maintenance, industrial circuit breakers can last for decades. Crown ERAM’s technicians thoroughly inspect your switchgear with all applicable tests.
We test all varieties, sizes, and types of motors, effective in all electrical fault zones for reliability, quality assurance, trending, or fault-zone diagnosis
We scan your equipment functionality safely and quickly. Our Ultrasound non-destructively detects partial discharge and electrical corona while the Thermographic Survey measures passive infrared radiation without down time.
Crown ERAM provides industry-compliant safety education with documented hands-on on-site and performance-based training that is readily available at any location.
We disassemble the machinery, clean components, and replace worn-out parts. It is then reassembled and re-tested. Our machine shop fabricates replacement parts if necessary.
